7457 Surses, Switzerland
LVS
Two young locals initiated the idea of an avalanche training facility in Bivio. The project was financed via crowdfunding. The avalanche transceiver training facility is a stationary facility for practicing avalanche victim search with avalanche transceivers and avalanche probes. The avalanche transceiver training facility is available to all guests and locals free of charge.
The avalanche transceiver training facility is located next to the Kinderland, behind the post bus stop. The facility in Bivio is operated with 8 transmitters. The transmitters, which are buried in the search field, send the same signals as an avalanche transceiver (LVS). At the control center, the remotely controlled transmitters can be activated randomly (practice mode) or manually (expert mode). These options allow training of simple and complex burial scenarios, especially multiple burials.

Lunghin Pass, Bregaglia, Switzerland
THE TRIPLE WATERSHED
The only triple watershed in Europe. On the Lunghin Pass, a raindrop's path is open to three oceans. A uniqueness not to be missed. First you climb the Septimer Pass, which is steeped in history, before continuing up the left flank of the valley to the Lunghin Pass. At the top, Europe's only triple watershed awaits. From here the water flows into three different oceans. The Eva dal Lunghin, later Eva da Sett, flows into the Julia and then enters the Rhine, which ends in the North Sea. Also the source of the Inn, which flows into the Danube and then enters the Black Sea, has its origin on the Lunghin. The river Maira flows through Bergell, then joins the Po and finally reaches the Adriatic Sea. The descent to Maloja is rewarded with a beautiful view of the Engadine.
